Speaking

  • Flipgrid – This is my go-to for a variety of activities. Students create videos in response to your prompt. The site is very user-friendly and I’ve created a last-minute activity in 30 seconds when I made a shift in my lesson plan.
  • Class Dojo – Popular among elementary school teachers for behavior, I use this to promote speaking in my classroom. The students personalize their avatar (little monsters!) that appear in their classroom. I give various points based on how much French is spoken but also take points away for English side chatter and avoiding speaking.
